Victory Strikes Again in Thrilling Tri County CARS Tour Race

Brody delivered a huge victory Sunday, September 13th at Tri County Speedway in the CARS Tour, winning an absolute thriller after the weekend schedule got turned upside down by rain. The race had originally been set for Saturday, but rain moved in right before qualifying. With qualifying washed out, the field was set by owners points instead.

That put Brody 4th on the starting grid in a field of more than 20 cars. From there, he stayed steady, waited for his moment, and struck late to grab his second win in the last three races.

Rain Changed the Weekend Before the Race Ever Started

Saturday was supposed to include practice, qualifying, and racing, but the weather had other plans. Rain arrived right before cars were set to go out for qualifying, forcing officials to push the event to Sunday.

Because the field was set by owner points, every position in the standings mattered before the green flag even dropped. Brody and the team benefited from their strong season-long consistency, lining up 4th instead of having to fight through the middle of a packed field.

Staying in Striking Distance

Once the race got underway Sunday, Brody settled into the top five and never drifted far from contention. He did not have to force the issue early. Instead, he kept himself close enough to respond when the race came to him.

That patience proved critical.

For much of the event, the leaders controlled the pace up front. Brody hovered right behind the main battle, staying within reach and keeping the car clean. In a race like this, that can be the difference between having a shot at the win and using up the car too soon.

The team stayed in the fight, and Brody kept the pressure on without overdriving the situation.

The Final 30 Laps Turned into a Fight for the Win

Brody was running 3rd when the two leaders ahead of him began racing each other hard. Lap after lap, they beat and banged for position. As their battle intensified, it gave Brody exactly the opening he needed.

While the leaders leaned on each other, Brody closed the gap. What had been a chase to the front soon became a three-car fight for the win.

That is when Brody made his move.

He charged from 3rd to the lead, taking advantage of the door that opened while the leaders fought among themselves. It was the kind of late-race drive that gets talked about for years, especially with the championship picture tightening.

Once Brody got to the front, he finished the job. He opened up nearly a straightaway gap over second, and drove his way into CookOut Victory Lane for the second time this year in the CARS Tour

Impact on the CARS Tour Points Battle

This victory could not have come at a better time. Brody now has two wins in the last three races, and this Tri County result gives Monahan Motorsports a major boost with only two races left in the season.

At this point in the year, a win does more than add another trophy. It protects points, builds momentum, and sends a clear message to the rest of the field.

Brody and the team have been fast, consistent, and opportunistic when the race demands it. Sunday’s win showed all three.

A 3-Week Break Before Newport Speedway

Monahan Motorsports now gets about three weeks off before the next race at Newport Speedway on October 3rd.

That break gives everyone a chance to reset, go through the car, and prepare for the final stretch. With only two races remaining, there is no room to coast. The championship push is very real, and Brody is right in the middle of it.
