Tri County Speedway Preview as CARS Tour Points Battle Tightens

Saturday night at Tri County carries more weight than a normal race weekend. Brody enters the September 12th CARS Tour event sitting third in season points, just 17 points out of the lead, with every position now capable of changing the shape of the championship fight.

He also arrives with slight momentum after last week at Florence where Brody brought home a sixth-place finish, a solid result that kept him firmly in the title picture. Now the focus shifts to a track he knows, but in a car and under conditions that will bring new questions.

Familiar Track, Different Challenge

Brody has raced at Tri County before in the Late Model Stock division. That experience matters. He knows the racetrack, how it changes over a weekend, and what it takes to maintain all 100 laps.

This weekend will still be different.

Brody has never raced a Pro Late Model at Tri County Speedway, so Friday practice will be key. The braking points, throttle timing, and balance needs may not match what he remembers from Late Model Stock competition. Additionally, one of the biggest storylines may already be set before the CARS Tour unloads.

The ASA STARS National Tour races at Tri County on Wednesday, which means the track will have a full night of rubber down before CARS Tour practice begins Friday. That can make the surface feel very different from a typical race weekend. The groove may be wider than normal, creating multiple lanes for racing from top to bottom. If the groove gets narrow, passing could be tougher.

Weather May Add Another Variable

The race plan could also depend on the forecast. There is a chance of weather on Saturday, and that could affect qualifying, track surface, racing, and the overall schedule.

Rain would change the rubber story too. If the track gets washed clean, teams may face a much different Tri County than expected. If the race gets pushed to Sunday, then that will completely change the team's approach at the weekend.
