Brody and Monahan Motorsports needed a clean weekend. They got a perfect one.

After a difficult outing at Hickory earlier this month, the team arrived at Anderson Motor Speedway looking to maintain their speed, rebuild confidence, and a result that could reset the direction of the CARS Tour season. By the time the checkered flag fell on the 100-lap Pro Late Model feature, they had checked every box.

Fastest in practice. Fastest in qualifying. Untouchable in the race.

Brody led all 100 laps at Anderson Motor Speedway, turning a strong Friday practice into a dominant Saturday and leaving the weekend with a major win that tightened the points battle near the top of the standings.

Friday Practice Gave the Team Early Confidence

The signs were there before race day ever arrived.

During Friday practice, Brody felt optimistic about the speed in the Monahan Motorsports #31 entry. Running a 14.9 lap on race trim was the shot in the arm that Monahan needed.

When Brody ran a 14.9 in a setup geared more toward the race, and that time sat close to what others were finding in qualifying trim, it gave the team a clear reason to believe they had brought a strong package.

That kind of speed on Friday does more than look good on a timing sheet. It lets a team make smaller, smarter adjustments instead of chasing the car. It also gives the driver confidence that the car will be there when the pace picks up and the pressure rises.

For Brody, Friday was not just encouraging. It was the first sign that Anderson could become the rebound weekend Monahan Motorsports had been searching for.

Saturday Practice Confirmed the Speed Was Real

Any question about Friday’s pace disappeared quickly on Saturday.

Brody came out in the first practice session and went straight to the top of the board. On his mock run, he posted a 14.709, placing him fastest among the Pro Late Models on the property.

That mock run was a major statement. It showed the car had pure one-lap speed, not just solid long-run balance. It also proved that the Friday practice pace was no fluke. The team had a car that could compete for the pole and control the race from the front if execution matched the speed.

And that is exactly what happened. Brody backed up the quick practice laps with the fastest lap in qualifying, posting a 15.038 to earn fast time.

At that point, Monahan Motorsports had already done something important. The team had controlled the weekend through preparation and execution, rather than needing to gamble. They had speed from the start, then confirmed it in every session that followed.

Brody Turned the Pole into Total Control

Winning the pole is one thing. Turning it into 100 perfect laps out front is another.

Brody did both.

In the 100-lap feature, he led every lap from green to checkered. Even against multiple restarts in the second half of the race, Monahan stayed consisteny at the front of the field to fend off the competition. The race belonged to him from the opening lap.

The Anderson Motor Speedway Win Came at the Right Time

The victory at Anderson carried extra weight because of what came before it.

Earlier this month at Hickory, Monahan Motorsports dealt with a troublesome race that left the team needing a reset. Racing seasons are rarely smooth from beginning to end, especially in a competitive touring series as the CARS Tour. A bad night can cost points, momentum, and morale all at once.

Anderson offered the response the team needed.

Instead of letting Hickory define the stretch, Brody and Monahan Motorsports came back with their strongest weekend of the season. The car had speed immediately. The team made the most of each session. Brody finished the job under race conditions.

That kind of rebound matters in the CARS Tour. It sends a message to the rest of the field, but just as importantly, it reminds the team that its process on a day-to-day basis is working. A tough race can shake confidence. A perfect weekend rebuilds it fast.

The Points Race Got Tighter

The Anderson win also strengthened Brody’s position in the championship picture.

Entering the weekend sitting third in points, Brody needed a result that would close the gap to the leader. A dominant win did exactly that. By grabbing maximum value from the weekend, he tightened the distance between himself and the top of the standings.

There is still work ahead, but wins like this change the feel of a points chase. Instead of only defending third, Brody now carries momentum toward the next race with the lead group closer than before.

Florence is Next on the Schedule

Monahan Motorsports will now turn their attention to Florence Motor Speedway in two weeks on Friday, September 4.

The goal will be clear: carry the Anderson speed forward.

The team proved it could unload with pace, make the right calls through practice, execute in qualifying, and control a race from the front. Florence will bring a new challenge, but the timing could not be better. Brody leaves Anderson with momentum, a tighter points gap, and a team that looked fully back on track.

After Hickory, Monahan Motorsports needed a response.

At Anderson, Brody gave them a perfect one.
