Brody Monahan is ready to continue his strong start to the season at this weekend’s CARS Tour event at Ace Speedway, driving the Whelen Engineering #31 Pro Late Model for Monahan Motorsports. After a strong performance at Caraway Speedway just two weeks ago, Brody has climbed to 2nd in the points standings. Fans can expect another intense battle as the Monahan Motorsports team, led by crew chief Scott Anderson, aims to keep the momentum going on this challenging 4/10-mile oval.

Practice and Qualifying Schedule

The race weekend kicks off on Friday with practice sessions from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm. On Saturday, the garage opens at 10:00 am, allowing Monahan Motorsports to make final preparations to the car before the day’s activities. The Pro Late Model division will get two rounds of practice before qualifying begins at 4:40 pm. Qualifying is crucial at Ace Speedway, where track position can make a significant difference in how Brody will tackle the race distance.

The green flag for the main event will drop at 7:00 pm, signaling the start of a 100-lap battle that promises plenty of action and close racing.

Monahan’s History at Ace Speedway

Brody Monahan is no stranger to Ace Speedway. When the team was under the ownership of Walker Motorsports, Brody competed here and showed strong performance by qualifying and finishing 3rd in a rain-shortened event. That experience gives him a solid foundation to build on this weekend.

With the current Monahan Motorsports team and crew chief Scott Anderson, Brody has refined his approach to Ace from what he learned in the past. The car has been setup very well by Anderson, and the upward trend throughout the year proves that. Brody's recent run at Caraway, which moved him up to 2nd in the points, demonstrates the team’s upward trajectory and competitive edge as the season grind continues.

What to Expect on Race Day

Ace Speedway is known for its fast straightaways, tight racing and widely differing corners. How Brody takes turns 1&2 will be drastically different than 3&4 due to the difference in shape and banking of the corners.

How to Follow the Action

For those who cannot make it to Ace Speedway, Monahan Motorsports will provide live updates throughout the day on their social media channels. This is a great way to stay connected with team news and behind-the-scenes content.

Additionally, the qualifying session and race will be broadcast live on FloRacing. Fans can also sign up for a subscription with the RaceScan app to hear live in-car radio communication from their cell phone. This platform offers high-quality radio transmissions from every driver in the field, allowing fans to watch every lap from the broadcast while hearing what the Spotters say to their drivers throughout the race.
