Monahan Motorsports head into Friday, Sept. 4, with a fresh challenge and a recent win still pushing them forward.

This week’s CARS Tour race at Florence Motor Speedway will mark Brody’s first start at the South Carolina track. It will also be the first Florence appearance for Monahan Motorsports, giving both driver and team a new test at a place known for being abrasive and unique.

A New Track With a Different Feel

Florence Motor Speedway stands out because of its layout and the way it races. One of the biggest adjustments is the lack of a wall around most of the track, with the front stretch being the exception.

That changes the feel from the driver’s seat. The visual markers are different. The sense of space is different. For a driver making a first start there, those details matter from the first practice lap.

Momentum Coming From Anderson

Brody arrives with confidence after winning the previous race at Anderson Motor Speedway a few weeks ago. That result gives the team something solid to build on, even as Florence brings a new set of unknowns.

The Anderson win showed speed, execution, and patience. Those traits travel well, even when the setup notebook starts mostly blank.

The Weekend is Still An Unknown

Brody is not making big predictions for Friday. With both driver and team seeing Florence for the first time, the goal is to learn quickly and keep improving each time the car hits the track.

That approach matters in a CARS Tour field where small gains can change an entire night. Practice, qualifying, and race adjustments will all play a role.

Florence may be new, but Brody is plenty accustomed to adapting to new racing surfaces. Last race was his first time at Anderson, and we see how that went for the team.

Friday's race at Florence will be live on FloRacing starting at 4:30pm. The coverage will capture qualifying, opening ceremonies, and the 100-lap Pro Late Model race. Brody's race is schedule for a 7:00pm Green Flag.
